How does the antenna work?

Antennas are often used in everyday life. They are used to receive radio and television programs, the Internet and mobile communications. Let us consider in detail how the antenna works. The principle of its operation is quite simple.
The communication system includes 3 main elements:
- Transmitting antenna.
- Radio waves that spread in space.
- Receiving antenna.
The principle of the antenna
First, the desired signal is created (radio, television, digital). Then it amplifies and arrives at the transmitting antenna, which radiates radio waves. Spreading, they fall on receiving antennas. As a result, they also form an electrical signal. This is the principle of operation of the antenna. But in order for a signal to appear on the receiving antenna, it must be of a specific design, that is, have a specific shape and size.
At the receiving antenna, the signal is weaker than at the transmitting device. Also, distortions appear on it, as other sources are also transmitting similar signals. That is why in the manufacture of antennas there are special requirements for them - they must be protected from interference and contain a minimum of their own distortion.
If these requirements are not followed, the antenna efficiency will be very low. Therefore, some consumers have a bad image on the TV screen, poor-quality sound in the receiver. Given this, you should purchase a high-quality antenna that has the appropriate price. Before buying an antenna, it is better to consult with experts.
